Scholarship Opportunity

Fred C. Alcorn Scholarship

Each year, over $50,000 in scholarship assistance is awarded to Nehemiah graduates, often the first in their families to attend college.

It is our wish to help Nehemiah Center children make their college dreams a reality. The scholarship fund was established in memory of Fred Alcorn, a true friend to the Nehemiah Center. He had a heart for this community and demonstrated his generosity by giving of his time, talents and resources. Each year the scholarship committee, chaired by Sally S. Alcorn, meets to interview and award money to Nehemiah high school seniors who want to pursue higher education. The Fred C. Alcorn Scholarship Fund has distributed more than $500,000 to deserving students since its inception.

*The Fred C. Alcorn Scholarship is only available for currently enrolled Nehemiah students.
