Early Childhood Education
Preparing our little ones for the future.
Overview
The Pre-Kindergarten Program provides a nurturing and academically enriching environment for children ages 3 - 5 with instruction for basic school readiness. The Pre-K 3 class is comprised of a maximum of fifteen children and the Pre-K 4 class has a maximum of eighteen children. Small classes and low child-to-teacher ratios allow the preschool, as well as the Center’s staff, to give great care and attention to each child.
The University of Texas Health Science Center certified the Nehemiah Center's Pre-Kindergarten Program as "Texas School Ready!" in 2011. In addition to this prestigious accreditation, they also consider our Pre-K 4 class to be the model classroom for their entire program. Education professionals and supporters of early childhood education from across Texas come to observe the Nehemiah Center's program that is successfully preparing at-risk little ones for a strong start in kindergarten and beyond.
The Nehemiah Center is pleased to announce that our Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 programs have received 4 out of 4 star accreditation from Texas Rising Star. Texas Rising Star is a quality rating and improvement system for Texas early childhood programs. Programs that participate in Texas Rising Star meet higher quality standards than many other child care programs.
